Marilyn Lacy, born and raised in Baltimore City has overcome many traumas. She is a survivor of sexual abuse, drug abuse, rape, domestic violence, attempted murder, and suicide. She is a widow and mother to 8 — 7 girls and 1 boy. Turning pain into passion, she is an author, owner of Restored by Marilyn LLC, founder and COO of 501(c)(3) Marilyn Lacy Ministries, a faith-based organization where she ministers to and advocates for survivors of abuse.
Marilyn is a Court Liason for survivors, Servant Leader for at-risk youth, speaker, mentor, accountability partner, and disciple, and serves with the following Prince George's County organizations:

SART (Sexual Assault Response Team)

Redeemed and Restored Rentry Group Facilitator for women returning to prison
Marilyn is also a Minister-in-Training and graduate of the Urban Initiative Lay Ministry Program at Denver Seminary and currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity degree at Denver Seminary.
